LOOK AT THE FIGURE on the back of this Concert Pinecone. I just love to work with this wild and beautiful big leaf maple. As you turn it in the light it changes entrely. Just amazing stuff, and boy is it tough. Its rough to carve one of these backs into its concave shape from a slab of wood but the sound and the beauty are sure worth it. On the other side is a fine grade Englemann Spruce top, Take a look at the Available Instrument page. There are four of these great ukes available.
On #35 I turned the fiddleback pattern vertically on a whim to see if I liked it. If you think you might like it I will send you a picture. Sorry but Pat Madsen bought #36 yesterday, but the others are just as pretty.
