Lloyd's tenor is almost ready for its strings. Just a couple more applications of French Polish will do the job, while Mo's baritone got its heel cap and peg head plate today. A bit of work with rasp, scraper and sand paper and it too will soon be getting its shiny finish.
Here is the heel cap being glued on. A thin piece of maple veneer is sandwiched in to provide a white line which will match the white trim on the binding. that's a walnut neck fitted with a carbon fiber stiffener.
And finally, P.J's Concert Pinecone will begin getting its French Polish tomorrow morning. Dung beetle and all.
