Now the task is to install tentalones  top and bottom,  They hold the instrument together and must be installed before the backs can be attached.
Picture
The lower course of tentalones are clamped with simple pinching clamps sawn from 1/8th inch plywood. (see the upper right instrument)  the upper course which the back will be glued to are clamped with simple old fashioned clothes pins strengthened with a rubber band wound around them.

They are now ready to have the backs glued on, once they are sanded perfectly flat and once the labels are made and glued to the backs.  these ukes will be numbered 86,87,& 88.

I trimmed the edges on this one and brought it up for a final inspection before boxing it up with its back tomorrow.  It is looking very good.

Just beautiful!

Question on the numbering, isn't the last of the tenors #85 and so shouldn't these be #86,87 and 88?

Gordon, you are absolutely correct, thanks for catching my error. the three pinecones are #86, 87, and 88. The tenors are getting closer to finishing each day as the French Polishing continues.
