I left the shellac to harden over night. Then this morning I gave it light sanding with 320 paper. I left the resulting dust on the instrument as it would be useful in filling in any remaining pores.
Next I put a little dilute shellac on a cotton ball and rubbed the sawdust into the pores. I think they are pretty will filled up now. Lets go to the back.
Yep, that sanding seems to really help fill the pores. I will be applying the French Polish as soon as this dries a bit.
After two applications of French polish I am already beginning to get a shine.
