A full moon competes with the lights of the Westin Kaanapali Resort North tonight after another day of wonderful weather.
We had a nice swim at the Little Beach just south of the old Mala Pier. Great swimming behind the reef. calm water, warm sun. Lots of family with little kids enjoying the calm water. We did too. Thats the old pier in the background.

Just behind the beach is the Great Budda of Lahaina, a Japanese temple and memorial to the Japanese immigrants who made such a contribution to the Hawaiian culture and economy.
We had dinner tonite at the nice bar/restaurant on the property as a huge cruise ship that had been anchored off Lahaina, cruised by toward its next stop. Quite a sight. And then the moon rose.
