THAT TIME HAS COME AGAIN; I am in the final finishing stages on the three concert pinecones and I got the itch to start the next build. I have been thinking about making some more of the soprano Pinecones, the ultimate travel uke. The have been so popular that I sold my last one more than a year ago and don't have one for myself.
This morning I decided to build a bunch of them and try to learn something about the efficiency of building a number of instruments at the same time. This afternoon I started at 1;00. I decided to build six at one time to test my efficiency theory. By 5:00 I had assembled all of the parts to make them.

The peg head plates were recently completed and I ordered more than I needed immediately . The walnut necks have been hanging around the shop for a couple of years. Once you start making parts you might as well make a few extras has been my theory. Many of the parts I was able to rough out just this afternoon. Now that I have them all assembled and the fun begins. Watch the blog as I take you along on building six soprano
