THIS NEW BASS had plenty of volume yesterday in a medium sized room with eight ukuleles, but there will be times in larger rooms and more players when amplification will be desirable. Today I installed one of the marvelous MiSi pickups.
Here is all there is to it. The round blue disc is the capacitor that stores electricity. the threaded jack bolts through a hole drilled in the instrument side and also acts as a strap button should you use it on a uke

I made a shallow saw blade wide cut on the bottom of one foot of the bridge- drilled a tiny hole in the spruce top and led the piezo up through the hole. Setting the piezo in the saw slot I tensioned the strings pressing the piezo against the instrument top. Works great on the amp. Massive sound, good definition. and all you can see is the little button protruding from the side. We are ready for a big concert hall. An amazing little product this MiSi !
