I NEED THREE ROSETTES FOR THE CONCERTS that I am presently building. This is not my favorite part of building a uke, but I really enjoy the final result. I have come to really like rosettes that are a bit simple and natural. Wood is the perfect material and I have decided that my favorite is the spalted maple that I stored away long before I began making ukuleles. To get the desired effect, first you must cut scores of tiny little shapes angled to go around the drawn image of the size of the rosette. here is i saw the pieces
Then using super glue, I glue them to the shape of the rosette drawn with a compass on a scrap of tone wood. keep tuned in, the final steps are coming tomorrow
