MAKING NECKS.

Clamp it in the vice and get out the trusty spoke shave to begin the shaping.

Then a rasp, and soon it is beginning to look like a Pinecone neck.  Walnut is quite an easy wood to work with.`
Don't forget to cut the notches for the sides to fit into in the Spanish method of construction.

And now with the table saw sled, you hog out the platform to fit the soundboard into.

This will need a little hand work, Lets get out the carving tools.

You just cannot have too many tools.  A little work with some chisels will do the job.

The necks are ready to be glued to the soundboards.
