SUNDAY I SPENT A FEW HOURS inventorying the wood shown on the last posting. What a great collection of perfectly quarter-sawn dry tone wood for Ukulele Builders. I have already sold about fifty pieces of Sitka Spruce, and Quilted Maple to a builder in Oregon. I have a complete inventory that I can mail to interested builders, and I guarantee you the prices will please you, so if you are building ukes, get in touch. This wood is all cut to uke lengths so I have nothing for Guitar builders. Call or email me for the list.
Meanwhile, I thought you might enjoy a picture of the Australian blackwood back of the new concert, It is uke #41. A cedar top, Honduran Mahogany neck, ebony fretboard. I am finding I really like this little guy. I used it for practice the last two mornings and have been playing it on and off all day. I am going to take it to Uke Class tomorrow night. I will take a picture of the class for you.
