I MADE THE DECISION TODAY about what the next build would be. Three more tenors with the new Water Tank Redwood. The question was, what will the bodies be. Here are the decisions
This is Cocobolo, a Dalbergia cousin of the Rosewoods. Hard as heck, dense and oily, reputedly hard to glue, but it is really beautiful and ought to add great character to the sound of a ukulele.
Here are the pieces. It should be a beautiful instrument.
This is a set of Claro Walnut that I bought a few years ago. Walnut makes a great sounding uke and this lovely Claro should look lovely as well.
The third and final uke will be another Brazilian Rosewood, this one with a pronounced "skunk stripe" This is lovely wood and of course has the reputation of being the very best for acoustic instruments. This ought to be a showy and great sounding tenor and will be #85.
None of these ukes are spoken for yet, so if you are interested- get in touch.
