9/4/2017

It started with a big bowl of Cornflakes and raspberries.  Can you believe, this crazy new breed of raspberry fruits in the spring and then again in the fall.  Now thats a fun way to start the day.

Then to the workshop where I did some productive French Polishing,  went to my wood storage place and got 20 small bowls that I had turned wet years ago.  Finally I am going to finish them.  Did three this morning.  I will show them to you in tomorrow's blog.

Then to the annual neighborhood picnic.  Always lots of fun, always meet new neighbors or their summer guests.  Had a lovely visit with a woman from the U.K.

Pot luck on food and booze.  There always seems to be plenty of both.

People of all ages.  This little one is just 6 weeks old.

Labor Day fun, on a hot- hot day.  At my age this sure beats a parade.  Oh !!, I almost forgot to mention, I brought 5 ukuleles and Anja (the little neighbor girl) and I gave a short lesson to some of the folks.  They learned three chords and we played Polly Wolly Doodle together.  Got to always have a little ukulele fun.
