These excellent Gotah tuning pegs have become my favorites, 4 to 1 turning ratio, reliable and well made. Notice the small point on the left side of the gear barrel. when pushed into the wood it prevents the tuner from spinning in the hole.
With a sharp awl I am making a small entry hole for that sharp spur so the tuner will seat well in its hole.
Now it is simply a matter of pushing the tuner into the hole
And threading in the cover washer and casing/nut. So simple and solid
Tighten it up with a small wrench and you are done.
