Journey's new owner sent me this picture of her concert at home with her other instruments. Deidre expressed her happiness with this sweet sounding Cocobolo and cedar ukulele. I liked it too. Journey has a happy home.
Meanwhile back in the workshop I was finishing up the bevy of bowls I have been turning. I needed to hold them on the lathe while finishing the bottoms and was having trouble keeping them in the holder until I came up with this solution. Simply a plastic bottle cap to apply pressure without marring the bottom surface. Worked like a charm.
Here they all are with the first coat of finish on them. I need to get these done because I am starting ukulele#100 on monday. I need the space on the workbench.
And today we drove to Seattle to visit our great granddaughter. Tallie was riding the rocking rabbit I made for one of her aunties 25 years ago. What fun!
