NOT MUCH UKE WORK TODAY. I spent most of it with my historical hero John Joseph Donovan. It began with my usual two hours at the Archive reading and taking notes from his diaries, Finished 1904 today, then to Village Books, our fabulous local book store to set up the display to sell engraved pavers in the park, and to raise money for the bronze statue of Donovan that we have commissioned. $47,500 has been raised to date and we hope to finish off our $55,000 goal before Christmas. We will be here selling pavers the day afte
If you would like your name engraved on a paver on Bellingham's Fairhaven Village Green- download this form and send it in with a check for $100. You will be immortal just like JJ Donovan will be when we turn him to bronze. This activity is pretty hard on my ukulele building time, but it is a great History/ Public Art project.
