The Zpoxy experiment seems to work. The cured coating sands easily and smoothly. Kind of messy but didn't take too long. The first two applications of French Polish are on it. It is really smooth and there are no pores visible. A little more time will tell the story. So far, so good.
Got the new tenor soundboard out of the clamps. Next step will be to saw out the shape on the band saw and cut the sound hole in it. This is the template for Kasha bracing.
This is all we need for now. I will cut the shape 1/4 inch oversize and cut the rosette slot and sound hole first. then thin it down to about .80 This is a nice set of Redwood from the old water tank that sat for many years atop a building in New York City.
