EVERYTHING SEEMS NEW TODAY; I came home with a new iPhone, the trees are bursting with new leaves, the bees are buzzing, and for the first time I sat outside before dinner and played my uke in the patio.
Life is good.
Life is good.
And the sunset was spectacular. this photo does not do it justice.
The azalea buds are about to burst, and so am I with the sheer pleasure of playing outside again
But the day was not all fun in the sun. I assembled all the major parts for four more Concert Pinecones. I will begin construction tomorrow. Four Engelmann Spruce tops on the left, four tiger stripe maple backs on the right, four black walnut necks and a bundle of all dried maple sides. the little items are walnut braces and butt plates, rosewood bridges.
If you like classic tiger stripe maple figure this may be the uke for you. Some of the others are more irregular but this will be a spectacular back. I will choose similar tight and narrow figured wood for the sides and this will be one stripes Pinecone.
