THIS JONAGOLD APPLE IS QUITE HAPPY GROWING IN A TUB.  I once planted an Espaliered fence with 52 apples and pears trained in the Belgian Fence design.  We made cider, gave way bushels,  Apples aplenty.  Then we moved a few years ago and this is my only apple tree.  The good news is that it bears large and delicious fruit,  Got all of 6 apples last year, but they were dandies.  A great bloom this year, hope the Mason Bees do their job to assure another crop.  When this tree is mature it will be trained in the shape of a cylinder and go to the top of the wire and wood support.  Try it, growing fruit in tubs is fun and rewarding.
