EVAN CHRISTIE and his daughter Talulah at the great celebration and the final ceremony of this three day extravaganza. As brother of the bride, Evan had an important role to play in several of the rituals. Here in a quiet moment with the dark sky as background, Talulah examines the garland that had just been placed around his neck.
The Bride and Groom sat or stood at this couch on a great stage and greeted over 800 guests, most of whom gave them a gift and had their photo taken. The reception and final rituals went on until four in the morning.
I took this shot from the extreme end of the venue. The blue/purple stage where the Bride and Groom sit is seen in the background. The area, soon filled with diners, drinkers and celebrants might be 80 yards wide and 130 yards long. A live group of violin, piano and flute musicians played in the background as the newlyweds greeted guests. This entire area was soon filled with people.
