I was able to bend eight sides without a crack or a split. Always a relief to get that done. Especially this build with some valuable East Indian Rosewood and a set of beautiful Cocobolo. While the bent sides were cooling I was able to get started on putting sides on one use.
Here is # 92, in the assembly jig. The sides are glued down and also have a few sections of tentalones glued in to hold the sides in place when the clamps are removed.
I saved the Cocobolo sides for last. Here it is just out of the bender Just look at the oil that I cooked out of the wood in the 350 degree press. But the wood came out beautifully. This is going to be a very pretty ukulele
Here is the first piece of cocobolo. I love it.
And the second one came out great as well.
