Another instrument is started. I found this great stash of Bubinga, I have never used Bubinga before but it is reputed to be great instrument wood, And I was so very pleased with the Kasha baritone that I just completed for Ron- and I had one more Bear claw spruce top- Oh well, what the hell! lets build a Bubinga baritone. So today I got out my Sitka Spruce with bear claw markings, ran them through the sander and then could not stop. I have a pretty good start on #107 a Kasha baritone.
Heres the top being joined.
And here is the back, sides and neck already roughed out and mostly thinned down. I am not a bubinga expert, but I think this would be considered pretty nicely figured. Have no idea how it bends or finishes. I suspect the latter easier than the former.
