The reverend Bailey was a Congregational missionary who left his New England home to educated the Hawaiian people and of course to save their souls as well. He came in the second wave of Missionaries in the 1830s. A remarkible man, he lived his life here dying in his nineties. Innoculated the natives against small pox. ran the female seminary at Wailuku, did lots of good works. His home is a very interesting museum of Hawaiian history served by two excellent docents who enriched our visit, Mahalo to them
