Good progress today on those two ukes for Klaus and Andreas in Germany
The best news is, the Cuban Mahogany bent easily. This rare and expensive wood would have been difficult or impossible to replace had I broken a side. A relief to get a good bend.
The East Indian Rosewood for the other uke also bent well and is now setting and drying in this simple open air rack.
The rack holds both of the bent sides in the identical position as they dry and set. easy to make and very effective.
And finally, the butt blocks were shaped and glued on- So we will be able to attach the sides to the soundboard in the morning. A good day of progress.
