Glueing on the bindings.

Here is how I glue on the binding, a method I swiped from that great builder Eric Devine.  I don't know if he invented it or got it from others, maybe it is an old method, but it works really well putting great pressure on the binding.  I am putting highly figured Australian Blackwood binding with a purling of black/white/black on both bottom and top.  I think it will look smashing with this uke.  the piece of round dowel on top is to put extra pressure on the "dip" point where gaps frequently occur.  Tomorrow I will turn the uke over and carefully fit the bindings and glue them to the other side.  This process is pretty time consuming as I like to leave it in the clamps overnight to be sure the glue is well set.
