MORE GOOD PROGRESS.  The backs and tops have their braces glued on now, the labels attached and the veneer  reinforcement strips as well.  Even the cedar reinforcement circles under the rosette are attached and only need a little thinning down and sanding.  I guess next I will begin to prepare the necks for attachment.

Here are the tops in the "Go-Bar" deck getting braces and tone bars glued down.

The backs are done.  Ebony veneer strip to reinforce the rosewood back,  Maple strips for the maple.
Just a precaution.  Never had one of those edge joints part, maybe thats why.  The grain in the veneer crosses the joint.

I am weighting down a backing ring with a section of this old iron rail.  I originally got it to use as a small anvil, anything heavy comes in handy when flat glueing where a clamp is difficult to use.
