The sanding is done.  180, t0 220, t0 320, and finally 400.  Next is filling the pores.

First i want a coat of shellac on the top to protect it from getting smudged or stained.

The Honduran Mahogany neck and the Rosewood of the body are both porous woods.  I will use the Robbie O'Brien method of rubbing in sawdust with shellac to fill the pores.  Note the mahogany sawdust on the neck, then a dab of dilute shellac on a cotton ball and lots of rubbing.

Doesn't take long to get a little color on the wood.

Now for the Rosewood body.  Dust a little sawdust on the back,  a few drops of dilute shellac on a cotton ball and start rubbing.

Now I am beginning to get some color.  I went over the body twice and in the morning will give it a light sanding and then one more pore filling round.  Then the finishing will begin.
