2014 IS ALMOST GONE;
And I bid it farewell with some regret. It has been a great year. Marya and I both turned 82 in the year enjoying good health and a blessed life. I have been a Museum Curatore a History lecturer, had a bit part in a Mozart comic opera, been featured on C-span national TV and made progress on my History of Fairhaven book. The J.J. Donovan statue got installed in the prime corner in Fairhaven, and I had the great pleasure of building and selling quite a few Ukuleles. I also created a new instrument, "El Doble" the two string bass and have had the emmense pleasure of learning to play it and playing it at our BUG Jams.
I could go on an on about this good year but will end it with the full day in the shop today which resulted in stringing up uke # 61 which is reserved for my pal Pat Madsen. Pat wanted South Coast all metal strings which I got installed today. A different feel but beautiful clarity. The good news is that the uke sounds great.

And I got the bridge glued onto the Brazilian/Englemann. If I am up to it I may get this one strung up tomorrow.
So I wish you all
