I am so pleased ! I got the new two string bass all put together yesterday. This morning I put a single wash coat of deluted shellac on it for protection from stain and rain, and at 2:00 P.M. reported to Merrill Gardens, an assisted living home where the B.U.G. Community Players were doing a gig.
I played bass with Terry Poth and his amplified Uke Bass and eight other ukulele players and had a blast.
The new instrument was great- plays easily, has great volume even though not yet equipped with a pickup.
I could not be happier with it. Now to put a nice French Polish on it

Notice the side sound-port. It really works. Shoots the sound right up at you, I could really hear what I was playing.
And I even got my signature "g" inlayed in the end piece.
