I got the Peg head plate on today. Now a bit of refining of its shape and the finishing can begin.
The plate is made of Spalted Maple, meaning that the maple is in the early stages of decay. This began as a plain piece of maple with no markings on it. The salting causes weird lines and shapes to appear. This will be a very pretty one when finished.
