I HAD A BUSY DAY working on the history project I am curating for our local museum but I did get an hour in working on the bracing for the concerts. Here are two of the backs in the Go Bar deck glueing in those important braces.
This is a tone bar which will be glued onto the soundboard. It straddles the bridge brace. Here I am making the cuts for the notch that must be carved out to fit over the sound board. First this fine toothed saw, then the knife to whittle out the notch.
And here is the final product, the tone bar will be glued to the soundboard straddleing the walnut bridge brace.
