I have been trying to choose the best binding for these two ukes for Klaus and Andreas. Been bending several sets of bindings for them. What do you think.?
After spritzing them with water and being bent over the hot pipe they set in this rack over night to dry and set the curves.
Here is a rather dark binding to contrast with the light brown of the Cuban Mahogany.
This curly Koa might be a gentler touch?
Or maybe the whiter curly maple?
And how about Andreas's Rosewood uke? do you like this?
Or do you like this binding better?
These are the choices the luthier must make every day. I will make them tomorrow.
