After cutting down a chunk of Honduran Rosewood to size, sanding it flat on the drum sander. shaping it on the table saw and cutting it to form on the band saw, and then rough shaping it on the spindle sander, I finally got to sit down in a chair, with a knife and a scraper to finish this curvy bridge.
A sharp scraper is a fine tool for this sort of work. This is a really super scraper. easy to sharpen too.
Then the mail man brought me a new set of Sandfast Detail Sanders. I wore my first pair out over the last couple of years. I find them perfect for ukulele building, Small and precise and because of the handle that rests in the palm of your hand, wonderfully easy to use without strain on fingers and hands.
You get a package of two, each one a different shape. Also a bit of sticky sand paper, but I buy that in big rolls that works great with these sanders. If you are into luthery, or
other fine woodworking give them a try. Note the web site in the photo. I highly recommend them.
