The day began with trimming down the inside of the Sound Port oval. I did this with this neat little curved carving knife that I have had for many years. It is really helpful to have an assortment of sharp carving tools that are just right for odd jobs like this.
I used to do a lot of wood carving and over the years collected a wide array of tools. Here are the most of them, Great to have for those unusual needs.
The next step is locating and cutting out the slots where the cross braces will fit. Now the top and sides are ready for the back. Once you have it fitting just right, slap on the
glue and clamp her down
