Good progress this weekend on 169 and 170
Got the backs onto both of them and cut the binding grooves,

Eva's uke is held firmly in the clamp device and the binding channel was cut cleanly with the router.
Now you can see the cut better, Always a relief to get this done successfully.
Now to do DiAnne's tenor. This went well also, these ukes are ready for their bindings but I must bend those bindings first.
I got started on Lynne's Sycamore/Spruce. This is fun wood to work with, bends nicely, looks spectacular.
This wonderful wood comes from my east coast luthier friend Jon Dale, Jupiter Ukuleles, We trade wood. I send him cedar, spruce and maple, he sends me sycamore and NYC water tank redwood. A mutually beneficial arrangement.
