Another day of progress. #157 and 158 received more French polish and are really beginning to shine, Rick got a lot of peg head plates and bridge patches made, ready for future ukes, but the big news of the day was the installation of the bindings on Stu's baritone and tenor #160.
The sticky binder tape must be ready for instant use. This ought to be enough for about half of the baritone.
Each piece of binding must be cut to size and fitted to the instrument. I make a small pencil mark where I want to begin the installation.
This reference mark on both uke and binding is the starting point.
Here they are, all nicely glued to the Baritone.
A good tight fit all around. No gaps to fill.
Next project was making the tone bars for the new builds, 161 and 162 for Adam and Olga. Rick is notching the bars to fit over the bridge patch
Tone bar whittling in progress.
