The beach is an awfully nice place to play. I can bang away on my uke as much as I want and rarely does a head turn, The sound of the surf and the breeze swallows up the sound of the instrument. It is so beautiful sitting here in the sand, the water and the sky and Molokai and Lanai across the sea. This picture shows Molokai in the background
As we sat on our beach chairs we watched a dark object in the ocean before us. It drifted closer and closer and finally washed up on the beach at our feet. A well weathered coconut that perhaps started its journey in Tahiti or some far off romantic place. My wife Marya is examining it for initials or any such signs, but to no avail. Just an old sea-going coconut
