
Here we have assembled the parts to be attached to the soundboard. To fit the neck you must carefully cut away the top of the soundboard with a jewelers say and fit the neck into the notch being very sure that it is exactly straight with the soundboard. Check and recheck or you will have a crooked ukulele. Also we will be glueing the butt plates to the soundboard.

Using a clamp and a plexiglass caul through which we tack the sound board to the neck we glue them together. The brads are removed when the glue sets.

Here is the last step. The butt plate is glued on. Now this uke is ready for the sides.
