Fourteen happy players on a warm tuesday evening. We played for an hour and a half.
Wes found a Russian Balalaika in a local antique store for $40.00.
This thing has but three steel strings. He googled to find the C,F, and G chords and valiantly played it with a pick. Sounded pretty good, Pretty unique we all thought.

So here is what we sounded like. We always get a few folks who stand around and sing with us and that surely adds to the fun. Anyone is welcome at these summer after dinner jams. We have had banjos, mandolins, guitars and harmonicas join us. If we have another nice night next week we will be at it again. Join us.
