Andy Rose drove down from Vancouver Canada today to pick up his tenor. Inspired by Stu Fuchs he now has a uke just like Stu's and he wore his Ukulele Zen tee shirt to prove it. He had to get a covid test in the US and have it test positive before he could return home. Now that is dedication. It all worked out and Andy is home in Vancouver playing his new instrument (I HOPE).
After he left I got busy putting the bridge on the " Finn". Ought to have this beauty singing over the weekend. Eager to hear what European Birch will sound like. The saddle and nut are made from the bone of the Finland moose shot so many years ago. This tenor will have character.
Got the bridge located now on the Western Red Cedar soundboard, Another tenor waits in the background to have it's bridge located.
Note the slight cant in locating the bridge and saddle. That much of a slant from 90 degrees is to aide in proper intonation.
