The common but magnificent Big Leaf Maple, so prevalent in the Pacific Northwest has many personalities. Most of the trees show wood without exciting grain patterns, but a small percentage of the trees simply explode in complex and beautiful grain features, Fiddleback or tiger stripe, flamed, and then most exotic of all QUILT
