Assembly of two new ukes can now began as the parts and pieces are now made and ready to go.
I bent the sides for Carla's #173 yesterday. Here they are in the mold
I got a good bend with no springbuck so the sides, the back, the soundboard and the binding are ready to go and the neck needs only a bit of carving,.
And Dianne's blonde is ready to assemble too, with the sides, binding, top and back finished and even the peg head plate selected. That neck is Alaska Cedar, a lovely, strong and stable wood.
Now with the carbon fiber rod epoxied into the carved neck it is time to attach neck and soundboard.
And now they are joined. when the glue drys and a butt plate is attached it will be time to add the sides.
