JIM D'VILLE was one of the eight instructors at the Langley Ukulele Workshop this year. The guy is animated, funny, passionate and he really get's his message across. I attended his "Jam By Ear" workshop and his message was to get away from slavishly playing the chords written on a page in front of you and learn to listen to the music and play from the heart. He emphasized the 1, 4 & 5 chords in any key as basic, and the need to free up your playing to hear and feel the music
