A SURPRISE VISIT

I was delighted yesterday to have noted Bellingham musician, Chad Peterson, drop into my workshop for a chat.  He brought along a resonator uke that a friend had made for him.  Here he is playing my baritone.  We talked instruments for some time and I had fun telling Chad about the Kasha bracing system.  This guy is a player!!

Been making good progress on Linda's tenor.  That rosewood is getting pretty shiny.  Also been working on the two new Kasha's .  Below, I am planing the sides down to their proper height before glueing on the tentelones.  They want to be 2 3/4 inches at each end and three inches at the high point where the back bends.

This little guy for the fine work.

Here it is a few hours later, all done.  This uke is ready for its side sound port next.

I also got the tentelones glued to the Bocote uke.  By morning I will have two sound ports to install.
