PROBLEM; Now it is time to install the tentalones to the side of the Concert Pinecones. To the tentalones will eventually be glued the carved, concave maple back. I use wooden clothespins to hold them in place while the glue dries but have found that modern clothespins don't have enough gripping power to do the job properly.
SOLUTION: Simply wrap a little rubber band around each Pin. It will increase their grip strength incredibly. Now the tentalones are pressed HARD against the sides and a good glue set is assured.

Building ukuleles is surely not Rocket Science and perhaps that home made aspect is what makes it so much fun. Sometimes the simplest of solutions to a problem are the best. The clothespin trick is surely an example.
