A PRODUCTIVE DAY

Got a lot done today assembling and preparing the various pieces for these two new tenors.

 the back is ready for sanding. the side need trimming

Sawing the angle in the back edge of the side

Two necks rough sawn and with carbon fiber rods installed weeks ago in a day of making necks.

Redwood top glued and cut to shape

They are carefully measured and marked for further cutting and trimming.

and run through the band saw

And marked for the groove the side will fit into .

Cutting the side slots.   Must be done right to avoid a gap showing when side is inserted.

testing for proper size and fit.  its perfect. I use a slightly curved scrap to make the test.

The necks are now rough carved and will be set aside until the soundboards are ready to receive them.  It was a busy afternoon in the workshop
