A MORNING TO CANOE

It was a beautiful calm morning and the whales were cavorting out on the ocean.  We love to do this every year with Maui Paddle Sports.  Great people, wonderful guides, two to a boat.  We went out with our daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Chadd Novich.  We quickly got into the whales and had them within 20/30 yards of the boat several times.   You try to stay 100 yards away, but you cannot control where the whales will surface.

Trying to photograph whales in the bright sunshine with an I-phone is not easy.  I took maybe 20 pictures, this is the only one with a whale in it.  I got lucky.

So here is the happy crew plus a "Photo Bomber".  It is a super-fun experience.  If you ever come to Maui give it a try.  Call Maui Paddle Sports,  Great people-great fun
