It seemed like a good day to stay in the workshop,  14 inches of snow and 8 degrees this morning.

Besides, I was ready to string up Randy's Long Neck Concert and eager to hear its voice.

The bridge had been glued on last evening.  Now it is ready to be completed.

I will use the new Uke Logic strings from Joel@ukelogic.com in Hawaii.  Randy wanted Hi G, so here they are

Before long the strings were on, the MiSi pickup installed and tested and it was time to tune it up.

I am delighted to report that this pretty little concert sounds great,  Bright but rich, quick action, spot on intonation.  I think Randy will be very pleased.

Big Leaf Maple body and Sitka Spruce soundboards make powerful, tuneful and lovely instruments.

A zero fret, Gotah UPT tuners and a spalted maple head plate complete the ensemble. A Long Neck Concert is simply a regular concert body with a tenor neck.  First one I have built.  I like the size the feel and the sound.  This won't be the last I build.
