THE DONOVAN DIARIES is now in print. It's writing has been a four year journey which I began researching in Ireland. The life story of JJ Donovan is a classic American story.
The book depicts the flight from the horrors of the Irish Potato Famine, a childhood in post Civil War New Hampshire, the struggle for an education, building the railroads across plains and mountains of the still wild west A love story between a Protestant girl of Puritan heritage and an Irish Catholic boy the son of illiterate emigrants, the building of a city on the shores of the Salish Sea and the building of industry and a community where there had been four tiny towns on the shores of Bellingham Bay.
The book is now available at Village Books and on Amazon.
Village books will host a virtual book launch on Crowdcast at 7:00 PM on September 25th in which I will be interviewed about the book and the research it entailed. Hope you will tune in.
