We always rent a compact car when coming to Maui. This year look what they assigned us.
Yep, a Volkswagen Beetle Convertible. Really a cute little car. Today after our morning walk we joined the Westin landscape contractor on a tour of the amazing variety of trees plants and flowers that he cares for. Then we got in the Bug and headed for the uplands. On the shoulder of the great volcano is a wonderful ecosystem and some fun little towns. We went to Makawao, the old cattle town. Wandered the streets and shops and then back to Lahaina for an early dinner.
