A DOUBLE BASS DAY

3/3/2018

What a delightful surprise.  Kathleen, from Anacortes joined us today for our monthly BUG jam, and she brought her prototype Son of Gut Bucket with her.  We had a delightful time playing together.

Here are the two of us providing the bass section for the day, seated beside our leader Wes Lewis.

Kathleen bought the first Son of Gut Bucket that I built several years ago.  I decided to build a little larger and fancier one because I liked the first one so.  Kathleen bought the prototype and is enjoying it in Anacortes. She is a fine musician and we just had a blast playing side by side for the first time.

Here I think we may be getting into it.  We complemented one another rather than competing.  It was really fun.

Double Bass day ended happily.  Look forward to doing it again some day Kathleen.

I am so pleased by your posting of SO MANY great photos of the fantastically fun time we had yesterday!!! We sounded rather complimentary, I feel- to the ukuleles; and each other!
I will HAPPILY come join in again. So happy and grateful I get to play and enjoy one of your two gut buckets- son and DAUGHTER of !!

This hull is rounded to permit the boat to travel through water quickly at slower speeds to restrict the quantity of drag on the boat.
